2003-06-16It was a pleasure to read such a spirited defence of our Public Schools by Liberal education critic Gerard Kennedy. It almost makes me forget that Dalton McGuinty spoke on both sides of the issue back in the 1999 election, depending on the group he was addressing. Given McGuinty's habit of changing positions even more often than Ernie Eves, can we really trust them to defend our education system if they win the election? There is only one party that has always defended our public infrastructure. The NDP's publicpower platform continues a tradition going back to the CCF of promoting fiscally responsible, practical solutions. The Liberals, on the other hand, never seem to be quite sure what they stand for. Gary Dale, Provincial NDP Candidate |
