The pros and cons of NDP poverty plan

re. Dion blasts NDP's 'job killing' plan

Ontario has been bleeding jobs for most of this millenium courtesy of government tax breaks that don't commit the recipients to actually do anything. Both Harper and Dion want to continue the same failed strategy instead of looking for ideas that work.

Many Asian countries have grown into industrial powerhouses by having an industrial strategy. European countries have become technology leaders not by cutting taxes but by investing in the infrastructure industries need.

The Liberals and Conservatives would both instead have us emulate the failed American model of racing to the bottom. There are countries in the world that try to compete by having no corporate taxes. Strangely, they are not economic powerhouses and none is being touted as the next superpower.
